This year the North West Regional Road Race Championships are being held on Saturday 4 June on the 11 mile Oakenclough circuit in the Trough of Bowland.

There will be championships for senior and junior men and women as follows:

– Senior Men – 7 laps
– Junior Men – 5 laps
– Women (incorporating a Junior Women’s Championship) – 4 laps

All entries will be selected once the closing date of 21 May 2016 passes. We will have a full senior men’s field but there are still plenty of spaces for the junior and women’s event, the latter being the first time ever that the Region has had its own standalone championship. (The junior and women’s events are unlikely to be full and everybody entering these events is likely to get a ride).

This event promises to be a great event on a challenging but fair circuit, which has a couple of climbs but also finishes after a descent, meaning that all types of rider will be in with a shout. For more information about the event itself, visit
