Loggerheads is always a good run. The cafe is nice anyway. How about a fairly direct route so shortish but before the cafe going through Mold, then Pantymwyn, Cilcain, & up and over Moel Famau towards Ruthin before heading back to Loggerheads. Then pretty direct home.
Any takers?

i hadnt noticed that it had actually been planned to go to holt, however i think loggerheads is possibly a better one, keeping it on the hilly theme from yesterday's club run.
the route that john has suggested sounds great and as though it keeps it sort of flat until we get closer to the cafe. as long as everybody else is happy with loggerheads im in, and as long as someone other than me is happy directing (i get lost doing a 10 mile TT) think it would be a great run 🙂

Changing the route to harder rides doesn't give the chance for people to step up to the long ride. People may think that a long ride to Holt may be a way to join us without loads of hills.

Just my thoughts

If people want to go to Loggerheads i don't mind taking that. Straight there and straight back with all the lumps just before and just after the cafe. If anyone doesn't want to do the Moel Famau bit then it's easy to miss out.

On the whole Moel Famau is not bad. Not when compared to having your eyes taken out with a wooden spoon. Aside from that it's just got one steep bit; from the bottom to the top.

Can soon change it in the calendar. I'm sure Al won't mind! 🙂

Ady if you ask alan see what he says? im sure we will get enough people that want to go to loggerheads. either a meander out through some different roads or straight there and then straight back however i quite happy to try and keep the group together providing someone is happy to give directions?
