Another great ride with some new faces. Myself, Kev C, Tony, Kempy, Keith, Andy Newby hisfriend/ new member Mark and Steve Fidler turned up at the club. The plan was to rider out to the Tudor Rose cafe and cycle back via Holt. But boy did that change 😯
Andy, Mark and Steve left us at Hope and we turned off towards the cafe. When we got there it was closed and looked to have been for some time. Kev then suggested that we go to Llangela mountain bike centre, then the climbing started 🙄 Great training I thought and last time I went the cafe it was really good. I got my lunch first after ordering next to last. 10 minutes later the other lunches hadn't arrived. Kev went to the see where his meal and was offered his money back or a 5 minute wait. Food was needed so we waiting and was quickly devoured!!! And it wasn't even that busy. Maybe they don't like roadies.
Off we set home where the pace picked up on the long down hill sections and a helping tail wind. I'm not sure what keith had for lunch but he was flying on the way home. In Chester we got chatted up by a group of ladies on the piss. Tony's got some smooth lines 😉 Then straight home through the forest.
