Hi,
Please see calendar as it's 10:00 this week. I'll lead a run over to Blaze Farm if the weather is ok. Play it by ear as we head over that way. If it's too bad, I'll change the route on the go.
Mr Zentek is offering an alternative for anyone interested.
See you all Sunday.
They do a mean Beans on Toast at Blaze Farm 😀 , see you Sunday Jules
the beans on toast at blaze are second only to the mills, but blaze have scones 😀
My high peak run is off. Not worth the risk as there is snow on the hills overnight.
So I'll be heading to blaze also, but may go on my own "training" run there and head back with the group.
As Jules says, just going to see what the weather is like.
If it turns sour Jules, maybe the fairways garden centre?

Easy tiger, that 120 mile round trip from mine ❗ 🙄
I won't be out tomorrow. Had a little off today, nothing serious but leg has a bit of road rash and bruised.

Thought you were quite, hope your ok.
I'm ok thanks Jim. Just it a drainage grate at the wrong angle and lost the front wheel. Pretty slow off but before I knew what was going on I was on the floor 😮
Hope your ok Jules? Stop trying to copy me with your off 😉 I am in Wales at the moment and the weather is fab over here and it has given a fab day out tomorrow and there is no snow forecasted 😀 and I am in a hotel that has a bike store room haha how fab is that have fun tomorrow guys
Ouch 🙁 hope it's not too bad fella, and more importantly the bikes ok.
A freezing but great ride today. Cheers Al! 😀
How did the long run get on?
A cracking short run today. Very enjoyable, and the legs didn't feel too bad either.
A good 76.47 miles by the time I got home, which made for a nice total from Tuesday to Sunday of 209.65 miles in the legs for Llanberis... 🙂
A good long run...although from Ady's report, it sounds like it was actually shorter than the short run!! We had six out: Kev, Jim, me, Bruce, Josh and his dad Roy for whom this was his first club run. Bt he's a runner so pretty fit. We worked our way out to Gawsworth and then from Sutton Lane Ends up the long climb by the Ryleys Arms, then up to the motel, then to Blaze Farm. We were a bit worried about ice (we'd encountered quite a bit on the way) so decided to come straight back over the Dumbers and via Lower Withington. A nice ride in beautiful sunshine but crisp cold air: we stayed together, Kev and Jim did a lot of the riding on the front, with young Josh doing a good stint too. We noticed the short ride group ahead of us at Whatcroft and killed ourselves to get past you before the road bridge by Davenham church, sorry we didn't stop and talk but by that time we'd got so conditioned to hanging on to Kev's wheel that we couldn't stop!
Interesting to note numbers down today...it really was a bit sketchy...Kev and I were wondering if there's an appetite for an alternative mountain bike ride on particularly icy Sunday mornings. We're away next week anyway so it's a bit academic, but just a thought. We could have an alternative meet at the Blue Bridge at ten...it would be much safer.
Jules, sorry to hear about your off, hope you're not feeling too sore.
I like the idea of an alternative Mtb ride Eleanor 🙂 but I think I myself am busy next weekend too 🙂
