As a reminder, this Sunday is our annual Guide Dogs for the Blind Charity Ride. This is the only run this Sunday (5th August). This is a great day, and we usually get a good turnout of riders.

Information for those that haven't been on the run before: we meet as normal, then meander out on a varied route, taking in a hill climb competition (for those who are daft enough to partake!) up Chapel Lane. Following this, we proceed throught the Cheshire lanes towards the Ice Cream Farm at Tattenhall, where we don our Guide Dogs for the Blind bibs and, again for those who haven't expended enough energy, have a short race. Those who don't want to race, go straight into the Ice Cream Farm.

At the Ice Cream Farm, it works like this: whatever you would normally spend on your food, give to the charity (or more if you wish - no upper limit on donations!!). This doesn't mean you have to starve though, as the Ice Cream Farm will kindly give the riders food for free!

We then eat, meet the staff from the Guide Dogs charity, and some of the dogs, and have a team photo, which will probably appear in the Northwich Guardian next week 🙂

Looking forward to a bacon buttie!

If anyone fancies it, I'll be getting a few miles in before we head off. Aiming to leave the house at 8am to get to Hartford for 9.30.
