Unless anyone else has already planned something, I'm happy to lead the long run this weekend to dagfields...
How many miles are you thinking of making it?
Maybe 70 - 80?
sounds good, I should be out and I need a few miles
Long run will be about 71 miles, 1300 ft of climbing. Here are the two routes.
If there are any suggestions for changes, please let me know. I relied quite heavily on google maps picking the best route 🙂

Idea was, get a longer loop to the cafe, and if the legs are tired or the weather crap, straight home.
If we feel fresh and the sun is out on the way back, we can always add an extra 10 with a loop round Holmes Chapel.
cheers.
Kris.
hi
i joined up a few weeks ago and have been working up to joining in a club run.
i'm 53 and only started cycling 12months ago. i have been working v hard and usually average 17mph over 25 miles solo riding and have managed 3.5 hours endurance(with lactic acid burn) so im thinking its time to push on.
is there s group that leaves from winsford?or would i treat the 6miles to hartford a warm up.
Neil
The 6 miles in is your warm up, I take the long way and get 10 - 12 miles in on the way to Hartford. You'll do fine on the short run, see you tomorrow
Nice run today, 9 of us headed out with a long loop past malpas. Weather held up and the roads were both clear and quiet.
77 on the clock when I got home, with 1200ft of bumps.
I was recording the run today, so will compile with a comedy soundtrack and post a link tomorrow.

Great run today Kris. Thanks for leading 🙂
Many thanks for today. I really enjoyed it and was so glad i was able to keep up and not hold the group up, which was my fear.
Neil
Tired dot com after that.
Well done Neil great ride.
Cheers to Al for a nice winding route to Dagfields, we ended up hitting some rain early doors but then just overcast/bit chilly/crap/shite until home.
Great run today chaps. Thanks Kris for leading. Not sure who everyone was I'm afraid, but that new chap did really well on only his third run. 😀
I actually punctured when I left everyone.... 🙄 😥 ... 100 yds from my house. First club run I've had to finish walking !!!
Hope to be out again soon..
Just looked at the footage of the sprint for that sign Karl, too close to call 🙂
