Cheers titch, I didnt speak with Jules, but mileage sounds ok
it's alright jim no worries, i may just go direct to the mills and see you all there? as im having a bit of a rest week 🙂
I forgot all about a 40th Birthday party I'm going to on Saturday night. Won't be out Sunday as i will be upside down on Saturday night 😉
Rich Munro knows the Bangor on Dee route to the Mills. I'm sure others will know it as well.
Jim, if you do the long route to the Mills you won't have any issues. Lumpy until Malpas and then pretty much downhill to the cafe. 54 miles to the cafe then 25 home.
if anyone wants to go direct im thinking of going straight there waiting for everyone and then coming back with them? (rest week)
So do we actually know what's happening tomorrow ❓ or is it a surprise on the day ❓ 😉
carol i would hazard a guess its going to be a surprise and someone will step up when we get there.
good run, lead by john and rich. good banter and a good couple of sprints. and got the mojo back this week!
Agreed, great run guys, in the sunshineeeeeeeeee too.
66 miles on the clock.

It was great to get back in the saddle with the club after such an extended absence. Great to see old friends and great to see new riders too. Well, the short run was a very leisurely affair up till the Eureka cafe and the same after lunch until the long run caught us on the Warrington Road just out of Mickle Trafford. By the time we got to Morley Lane, the short group had fragmented into possibly three groups, some on the coattails of the long group, some holding up the rear and me in the middle. By the time I got to Morley Lane / Norton's Lane junction the advance group were out of site and I probably took the wrong route via Manley Lane. Spent the rest of the journey on my own (meant I could sneak an ice cream on the way back via Delamere Forest) but nonetheless a very enjoyable day back out with WVCC. 56 miles in the bag on that rarest of things in summer 2012 - a dry and sunny day!

Jim, you asked me to send you the attached picture but I can't find your contact details - hope this attachment works.[attachment=0:3ucvdx3q]IMG_0189.JPG[/attachment:3ucvdx3q]
Can anyone tell me how you get the picture to shrink to the width of a regular post?
Sorry I didn't get out today, feeling a bit under the weather and a long day yesterday. Glad it was a good one. Went out on my own, and as a good citizen helped a guy out with a puncture. As my luck would have it he only had inner tubes from Mars so no tube would fit them ever, so gave him my spare. A trip to Halfords for a new spare tube it was to be!
sounds like the short run had a good one. and jim i have 70 miles pretty much on the nose!
also it looks like charlotte could well join us on a long run, tagging onto the long run with a few others including andy risk after we past the short run. what a great ride thoroughly enjoyed it.
btw guys as we were all having fun in the sun, lesley teall went up to wales with a few of her friends to get in some hilly miles when a car cut her up. she tells me she is ok. a few cuts from barb wire and a dislocated collar bone but will hopefully be home tomorrow so think she deserves the wobbly wheel after her off on the night ride and her bad fall today. the wobbly wheel has to go to les this year? wish her a speedy recovery and im sure she will be back out with us soon 🙂

I've just changed the board settings so that it autogenerates a 600px wide thumbnail in the post. That should do it for all posts now uploaded and placed inline.
