And what are the thoughts on a slightly earlier start? Maybe meet at 8.30 for a 9am get go?
Let's not tame it - keep it as it is, if people are falling apart on the way back the route can be amended then, but let's go for a hard one.
Re. setting off; I'll go with the majority vote - i don't mind earlier or later.
Happy to go along with the flow on the ride and the timings, the only thing i would add if we go for an early start, does everyone read the forum?

Not everyone, I wouldn't change the time. The lack of responses may say something.
have to say im with jules, same time but try and get off from the legion early? and not sit and wait for as long? i also agree with john K and keep the route the same and ammend if need be on the return journey.
lack of responses is partly due to no-one coming on here 🙂
I think that is exactly the point Jules is making. The lack of responses reflects the number of people who are using the forum and would see the new time. I would agree leave the time and route as planned it won't be dark until 9.00. Hopefully even a Kris monster epic will be finished by then!

I'm one of the few in the club who has a foot tapping watch watching spouse at home, and I see a 10am set off as 2 hours wasted 🙂

Just got back from my holidays 🙂 which ride are we doing Longnor or the Macc Monster??
As for an earlier start it wouldn't work for me as I have to wait for Dan to come in from his run and I can't see him wanting to go at 5am!!!! But then I also have the dilemma of needing to be back by 430 at very latest!!! If we are running late I can always head home on my own with a more direct route!!
