After Sunday's quick jaunt we will hopefully look to get some bigger miles in with the odd hill. Thinking of either heading up the cloud (via Congleton Garden Centre for those who want to stop off and wait on the way) or over to a new cafe to club runs over at Parker Garden Centre in between Prestbury / Wilmslow.

Hi

I am a new member of the club (or in the process of), i am looking on joining this ride on Sunday, could you please give me some idea of how far the ride will be and what time you expect to be back. I have an imortant date with the TV to hopefully watch the blues lift the cup. 😆

Unfortunately we have a policy of no Man City supporters allowed on club runs I'm afraid! 😆

No problem Jim, we're looking at around 50-60 steady miles on Sunday. We should be back for around 2 I would have thought.

woody led a great ride out to the cloud last time, some great descents. I wouldn't worry about the the utd heads that you may encounter, most of them will support city next season anyway after this weekend. welcome to the club from a fellow 'noisy neighbour'.... 😆

Thanks for the welcome.

Descents????!!!!!, i'm no detective but that goes with ascents!!!! i suppose "the cloud' is also a bit of a clue 😮

Maybe have to wait near the bottom and pick you up on the way back.

Your probably right about the rags, they are just glory hunters! 🙄

Cheers Andy!

Both routes (not sure which one I'm going to do yet) will have a hill in them but nothing too major. We all re-group at the top so just take your time up it. Some have a bit of a race up it, others take their time. We don't leave anyone behind!

Jim, my first ride out with the club was funny, a nervous Les turns up on a Wednesday wrinkles ride with new bike and running shoes on. Met everyone (who were so lovely) and they all shouted lets go to Dagfields. Well that was my first 60 miler and I have never looked back. Will be back on the club rides once I have done my challenge. See you all soon and Jim enjoy it and will meet you soon 🙂 🙂
