I cant ride yet, but I will be there in the car, I will bring my camera and get a shot as you move off, and if I know the route then I’ll take a few shots on the move.
I think this is a great idea, make sure Mark knows that his Dad is going to be missed.

RIP Dave, I have known him since the early 80’s, Having got back into the sport after a long lay off, I was looking forward to continuing to swap old time stories with him. a true gent and asset to the club.. he is going to be greatly missed. Kathy and my thoughts are with his family at this difficlut time.JimWParticipant20 December 2011 at 13:43Post count: 328JimWParticipant19 December 2011 at 21:50Post count: 328
🙁 Well Alan, I’d have been there on my new winter bike [guards an all] however, recovery from a shoulder Op prevented me from venturing out [there are only a few advantages to having had a shoulder op…1] signed off work…2] legit excuse ehh reason to not going out when the weather is ”””ehh ””” bad.. 🙁JimWParticipant17 December 2011 at 20:55Post count: 328JimWParticipant14 December 2011 at 11:05Post count: 328JimWParticipant13 December 2011 at 22:35Post count: 328
[font=Comic Sans Ms:nrw3a1j3]forget the groupset, gears or fixed debate, I have just taken delivery of my new christmas pressy to myself [lets face it, no one else is going to get these] a pair of all carbon 50mm clinchers….bling…bling….bling… summer here we come.. well you need to look forward to something
I cant remember who said aging is directly proportional to the ammount we spend on making our bikes lighter…[ it would certainly be cheaper if I lost the 2 stone of extra body weight that I’ve got!] ah well..[/font:nrw3a1j3]

I did it! not bad for an old fatty, I had a little tumble at 5 miles and a puncture a 20 mile, I then spent the next 80 on my own [literally] so to finish in 6:31 was all right… I was too knackered for the club run the next day though …Jim Williams
