I too have a rider 50, I bought it after talking to Dave Fearon, I have found it really good, Given the recent blogs and personal experience on the recent Ron Sant Audax [it p*ssed down all day { and I mean ALL DAY}] Mine had a misted screen the next day, but a few hours in the airing cupbord sorted it out, the website is easy to use [when you get the hang of it]
I recommend you get extra fitting kits, if you are going to use it on more than 1 bike, you can also fix with an additional ‘safety’ zip lock tie.
Far cheaper than the GARMIN, as for weight, just leave those biscuits alone and there you go! total is the same ! ! ๐Ÿ˜€

Les.. pump them up till they are hard, check with your thumb every ride, [you need to let a little out in the rain and wet as you dont want to fall off when cornering] ๐Ÿ˜€

it must be something to do with BO or aftershave, ๐Ÿ™ I can’t understand why Les wouldnt want to ride the 10 with a fine figure of a man like me!, anyway, I am likely to go out with the ‘wrinklies’ during the day and then go to the 10 later [provided the 30 day April shower has finally stopped] if it’s ok weather wise I am happy to ride around with you but am likely to be ‘cream cracked’ so 32 mins might be beyond me.. [maybe 35-40]

anyway – if I’m there , I’m there.. if I’m not there, you may have to ride a
‘Virtual GP des Gentlemen’ on your own!

hey maybe me, you, Les and Claire could ride a 4up! ๐Ÿ˜‰

See you Sunday [new bar bag at the ready!] ๐Ÿ˜€

I’ll help out with one of the short runs in May – might pop over to the Cloud one Sunday!

What’s this ‘pop over the cloud’ woody , does this involve the consumption of an illegal substance, or aeroplane? it cant mean cycling… this is the short steady [especially for fat people] run you know!

Eleanor, I think you need to ensure you do not prejudice any case that the police may bring, the last thing any of us want is for this ‘low life’ to get off due to some technicality.

Nigel are you a member of CTC or BC? if so get them on the case soonest.

Hope you are soon over the physical knocks and mental scars.

[font=Comic Sans Ms:b88smslu]Les another trick if you want to build your confidence is to only put one pedal on, you look a bit odd if they a different shoes, one of those “who dressed you this morning”
This way if you really panic, you can always put your other foot down.. best to put cleat on the foot you normally put down a junction.

    {all this is like learning to ride a bike with stabalisers.. sooner or later you have to take them off! [/font:b88smslu]}

    Good Luck

[font=Comic Sans Ms:26gxj3ot]Les, you impressed a whole lot of people today, a big well done, You should easily manage a Sunday club run [especially if you get used to clip ins!] If you can make a Sunday I’m sure you’ll be made welcome.
Claire O Brien coordinates the kit, and had a delivery before Christmas so you might be in luck.

Well done again for today. ๐Ÿ™‚

Dave, I’ve got a load of photos, I have scanned 100 images in for Steve Thomas, I still have another doz or so, you are quite welcome to the originals {as long as I get them back] and they are not all of me either. there is even one or two of you!
I also have 3 photo albums of press cuttings from when I was press secretary, and a couple of runs lists, result sheets [all from the mid to late 80’s]
I will be at the legion tonight and will have them with me.

I would like the route, [I was going to do it my self but as you have done it .. it seems a shame not to take advantage of all your hard work!

Could I have it as a tcx file

Although I am only out for the Saturday to Ruthin I could do with the official route there.

    Thanks
