Hi Jed , Great news that you are almost in the Weaver Valley CC Face book group .

With your permission i will add you to the Northwest cycle racing photos group run by Gordon wallace from the Graham weigh team . It is a closed group where loads of racing photos from Oulton Park and the whole of the Northwest are put and where generally people are allowed to tag , comment and have the photos for free.
Just let me know and I will put your name forward .
    regards,
    Alan

    Hi Jed ,

What Kevan was saying re Eleanor in the WVCC Oulton Park race last night was that it was a great achievement for Eleanor to even finish with the bunch last night . It takes guts to ride in a constantly changing bunch . Eleanor has not raced this year , she does not do chain gangs as most racers do and so to be in at the finish of the race and as Kev says riding against ladies up to 30 years or more younger, plus in a predominantly mens field with loads of class riders is in my eyes an achievement.

I know Eleanor dashed from work arriving only just before the race and given the torrential downpour before the race would have easily forgiven for not riding . I did not even feel like riding myself last night given the potential conditions . ( I had pre entered though so wanted my moneys worth ! )

I cant think of a greater inspiration to our other lady riders than Eleanor and last night showed one of the reasons why .

Ged , Facebook is not that bad if used correctly . You could just register for the Weaver Valley page
( dont accept friends ) to really keep in touch with WVCC things.

I do agree we need a wider group of people submitting articles or making comments on the forum on the website AS well as WVCC Facebook page .

    Regards ,
    Alan

Only 34 rooms left in the apart hotel ( for April ) so will soon be fully booked!

Stuart Hall Cycling will be based at a different Hotel in Puerto Pollensa , Majorca 2016. I think this may reduce the numbers he can take .

Hotel Playa Mar 4 star ,an apart hotel . Any 7 nights in April @ £345 for 7 nights based on 2 sharing , including half board and guided rides .
Supplement of £15 per night 8th to 10th April for single occupancy , I think £12 other nights. Transport to and from airport included .

Think of bike hire when booking for a better rate for hiring .

My dates booked are April 8 to leave late evening April 19th .

If you are thinking of going please do not delay .

    http://stuarthallcycling.co.uk/mallorca/cycle-training-camps Stuarts number is 07801 914929
This is a discounted rate for Weaver Valley so please state Weaver Valley on booking !

If you are interested , Thurs 26 March , 7 till 9 pm then please let me know .

A final opportunity to have a basic 1st Aid session with CPR .

Particularly ideal for people with very little 1st aid knowledge or as a short refresher and for people who would like to be guided correctly through CPR ( chest compressions etc ) in order to gain the confidence to have a go in the unfortunate situation where it may be needed . Eg At home , at work , out on the bike , in the street !

Just to say a very big thank you to Graham G and all who helped to once again put on such an enjoyable and successful evening for us .

The buffet was excellent , the awards presentation very slick , and it`s the first time we have had a world champion from our club , in Lee Suthard , to applaud and listen too though he was careful not to give too many tips away !

The choice of Andy Wilkinson as chief guest i thought was great as those of us who have been racing for some time are well aware of Andy`s amazing feats of speed and endurance and so it must have been fascinating for those not so familiar to hear just a little of his amazing exploits .

All in all a very enjoyable evening and once again a very big thank you to Graham !

It`s still not too late to book for Majorca if anyone is interested in joining us for a week on the bike or whatever number of days suits you . For those who have not been , Majorca is a beautiful island and as we are staying in Puerto Pollensa we will have the best of both worlds . Only a few miles to the spectacular mountains or straight from the front door and stay on the flat . Very little traffic as well in April .
Another club member has signed up and booked today so if you fancy it and can spare the time why not give it a go and be with people you know . The information is above but give me a call with any queries you might have .

Just 2 places left for the optimum number for the session on 19th Feb .

For those who have no First Aid knowledge , know a little or want to refresh their knowledge then this is an ideal opportunity to pick up the basics which just might make all the difference to someone elses day . No pressure and no test so why not book a place ?

It might make the difference to some one at home or one of your work colleagues or one of your clubmates , who knows ?
