Just a quick note before I go to bed. Lee Suthard was riding the Drighlington BC 10 today on the super fast V718 in Hull. This is the same course where Wiggo did his 17:58 a few weeks back on a horrendously hard windy day!

Lee was riding this event to get a fast time so that he can get into the National 10 mile TT later this Year. He clearly met his objective as his super fast 20:32 not only placed him 11th overall in a fast field, but also earned him the club vets 10 record and the outright club senior 10 record, knocking 18 seconds off my own records set 2 years ago on the same course. Well done Lee as it was about time a good short distance man took these records from an ageing endurance specialist! 😉 The event was won by Phil Graves of York Triathlon Club with a time of 19:14. Phil is an International Triathlete.

If Lee would only go back to riding fixed wheel he would surely fly in the National.

    Cheers

    Dave

Great time Lee, although it was a great time, Lee is actually disappointed as he was looking for a 19 to improve his chances of getting a start in the national 10 in August. He is going to give it a go again in early July.

    Hey ,Well done man 😀

I knew you’d beat the record, it was just a question of ‘by how much’
