Hi ,
Having been to Majorca for early season riding for the past 4 years or so thought I would let it be known that I have just booked my flights for 2015.

Going a little later this time for a better chance of good weather and a less heavy racing season!

My dates are Fri 10th April, 06.10hrs Easyjet from Liverpool
Return Wed 22 April, 23.15hrs from Majorca

Great to be out there in 2014 coinciding with other WVCC riders stay. Some may have seen my comment elsewhere at the time describing one of our rides as the the best Weaver Valley clubrun ever !!

My basic plan is to book flights now, book with Stuart Hall cycling shortly who will arrange accommodation at Pollensa Park Hotel in Puerto Pollensa. He will also arrange transfers etc.
Buffet style evening meal and breakfast included.
Pay for your own lunch which will be at a café stop on the ride. Usually a baguette, cake, coffee and coke!

http://stuarthallcycling.co.uk/ Please read & check the web site carefully.

Most levels of group riding catered for each day and you can do as much and as little as you like. It is not a true training camp. We are there to enjoy it! Last year I saw 3 bike hire shops in Puerto Pollensa so that might be worth considering rather than taking your own bike. All good bikes as well. Stuart Hall is also hiring decent bikes for a discounted rate if booked at the same time as the holiday . Carbon bikes 105 etc .

I know The Fearons are considering virtually the same dates, they may be home a day sooner and it would be great to have a group of Weaver Valley riders out there together!

Book for as long or short a stay as suits you. SO WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR ?

If interested remember flight prices increase the longer you wait. Consider just booking your seat on the flight first then you will have time to consider the bike hire versus taking your own bike etc at your leisure . Usually bikes and luggage can be added later . If you need more info or guidance please contact me or Dave Fearon who will give you all the info you need .

Hi Alan,

We both wrote practically the same piece in 2 different places on the forum so all bases covered. I also booked the flights and we're on exactly the same flights as you, so we can share a pick-up.

Cheers

Dave

Stuart Hall is also doing bike hire for those interested ,

A message from Stuart -

We will also be doing our own bike hire next year carbon frames with
shimano 105 group compact 34/50, cassette 12/27, weight around 8 kilos
£85 per week when booked with a holiday .

If club members decide to book the camp with Stuart Hall please state that you are a Weaver Valley CC member for offer of £320 for any week in April based on 2 people sharing !!!

If booking for more than 7 nights ring him for an accurate price !!!

There is a £10 supplement per night for a single room .

When booking your flight it may be worth just booking your seat for now and add bike and bag etc nearer the time when you have considered options re bike hire !

It`s still not too late to book for Majorca if anyone is interested in joining us for a week on the bike or whatever number of days suits you . For those who have not been , Majorca is a beautiful island and as we are staying in Puerto Pollensa we will have the best of both worlds . Only a few miles to the spectacular mountains or straight from the front door and stay on the flat . Very little traffic as well in April .
Another club member has signed up and booked today so if you fancy it and can spare the time why not give it a go and be with people you know . The information is above but give me a call with any queries you might have .
