I was pleasantly surprised to meet Martin Whyard on the road from Woore to Madeley so had a nice little breather as we chatted for a few minutes. We both agreed that it was a great day to be on the bike with light wind, warm sunshine and beautiful scenery. Like me he set out at 8 am to make the most of the day and he certainly wasn't disappointed.
