Another beautiful day and 17 riders out, including a welcome return for Debbie, and a new rider Paul, who Claire apparently picked up on the way to Hashmere (the hussy).

An uneventful ride out to Nantwich via Bunbury at a steady speed to keep everyone together. Nice lunch in the Marina cafe where we were well looked after. Some of us sat outside to work on our tans – but as this was April, as soon as we sat down, the sun decided to hide behind the one poxy little grey cloud in the otherwise clear blue sky, so we shivered bravely whilst the wiser riders sat inside in the warmth. I’ll let someone else do the baguette review (see Mark’s comments on Sunday’s ride!) and Claire and I scored the toilet at a fairly poor 4/10.

Then back – we split up a bit on the return leg and I made the mistake of falling in with Garry B and Co who decided to up the ante on the Wettenhall road. I’m not sure how the others got on, maybe someone will post a comment to let us know!

Sorry no photo today, I’ll try and remember in future.
