Today Caroline and Dave Fearon rode their second time trial of the weekend following on from the 25 yesterday. The event was supposed to be a 25 but road works forced the organiser to reduce it to a 10 using the D10/1 course at Rainford.
The weather was much more settled today which was just as well as this course has a reputation for being wide open and wind swept. Both riders suffered from sore legs after the fast event on Saturday. Nevertheless both riders were happy as Caroline did a 27:31, which is her second fastest of the season and Dave did a seasons best of 22:54. Winner was Phil Williams of Liverpool Phoenix CC who produced a rapid 20:10, beating the second placed rider by over 1 minute. Fastest Lady was Becky Lewis of Wrexham RC who also impressed with a 22:41.
