Another good night with a slight amount of rain but nothing to dampen the spirits. Our humble club 10’s are attracting some quality riders these days with Olympic champions and pros last week and this week Simon Bridge, a regular winner in time trials and road races in the Manchester Area and recently moved to Winnington. Welcome along.
Predictably Simon put in a storming ride recording 21:38 on our challenging little course, taking the win from our new crack rider Jim Duffy who stopped the clock in 22:11. This was an amazing PB for Jim just 2 days after completing a tough Anfield 100! Just think what he could do if he rode a proper fixed bike???
Still early days for the Guardian cup and the revised table will be posted shortly. The cup with no name for the best on points on actual time will also follow soon but don’t hold your breath as it’s me talking here! Get your rides in though at it’s best of 7 so only 6 rounds left.
