This short bike ride is mainly off road along the Rivers Dane and Weaver, over bridges and locks and using cycle lanes with a couple of short but quiet road sections.
The ride takes us from Northwich town centre to Hartford via Castle and Greenbank then back along the Weaver past Kingsmead.
It highlights how many areas of Northwich and its surrounding villages are accessible by bike and is a vibrant mix of urban and rural.
Don’t forget to bring some money as we will be calling at a cafe for refreshment (coffee and cake anyone?!)
This ride is suitable for all bikes. It is recommended that riders bring an inner tube and puncture repair kit just in case.
The ride roughly takes one hour cycling time but please allow more time just in case the pace is slower than anticipated or we have a puncture.
Newcomers to Breeze rides are very welcome, don’t worry if you don’t know anyone, we’re a friendly bunch.
Dress appropriately for the weather: in cool weather it’s good to wear lots of thin layers, so you can add/remove them as needed; a rain jacket is a good idea too.
Wearing a helmet is advisable; if you don’t have one don’t worry as you can still take part.
