On Friday 29th August 2014, for those who are club members and knew Claire, we are organsing a very short ride out to the funeral service at St Mary’s Whitegate.
Elinor, Claire’s daughter, has asked if we can ride out from the Legion to the service.
We’ll meet at 1pm at the car park at the Legion, and ride out as a club to the service. Apologies for the previous post which stated 12pm.
Elinor said “We would rather people turn up with bikes and cycling kit rather than black as it represents my mum more and celebrates her life.”
This is absolutely true, and remembers Claire as she was in life.
After the service, we’ve also been invited for refreshments at Vale Royal Abbey.
I realise that many of us have work commitments, but it would be great if as many club members could make this as possible, to support the family and, as Elinor has said, to celebrate Claire’s life.

As a postscript to the above, there was a fantastic turnout for Claire’s funeral from Club Members and ladies from the Breeze rides, both participants and organisers.
