This Wednesday the rain fell and continued to fall. Only 8 intrepid riders ventured forth, and all agreed that they had pressing business and could only make a short run! I wonder why? Only Dennis had a cast iron excuse ( no pun intended) as he had to take his daughter Alison to hospital. You will be sorry to hear I am sure, that she has broken her leg in a mountain biking accident. Get well soon, Alison! On the other hand, Malcolm who has been recovering from a broken collar bone, came out for his first club run since his accident, and looked as if he had lost none of his fitness at all! Welcome back, Malcolm – we have missed you! We went to Beeston Ice Cream Farm, which has been newly extended and refurbished. The varnish was still wet on the wooden fixtures and fittings! It all looked very nice, with proper cycle stands outside and very efficient and helpful service service. I got a big teapot to myself, so I’m giving it a 10! Going home, we were all soggy and cold. A mucky day, but I’m glad to have gone out if only to catch up with friends!’
